Independence Visitor Center

This recently preserved, historic 1835 building in the center of the Village is staffed by the Independence Historical Society. Hosts will provide Visitor information and help plan tours. Once called the "Adobe," this house was built the same year the town of Independence was laid out and is probably the oldest structure still standing. It also serves as the Independence office of Baylor University. Visitor Center is closed on the weekends in July, but otherwise is open Mon-Sat 10-4 & Sun 1-4.
