Laredo Center for the Arts

The Laredo Center for the Arts began as a grassroots initiative by local artist Anne Brennan Vela. She noticed that there was a thriving underground art scene in Laredo, Texas, yet the community-at-large, including budding artists and children, were not aware of exhibits, performances, and educational opportunities. Anne Vela realized that a unifying organization could bring the arts to Laredo, Texas in a productive and inspiring way. She believed that an organization such as the Laredo Center for the Arts would improve the quality of life of every Laredo resident.
