Five Mile Hill

Comanche Indians used this hill to send messages over long distances. Smoke signals were used to confuse enemies send news and gather or disperse tribes. A picnic area scenic overlook and historical marker are on the hill. Located east of San Saba on the north side of U.S. Highway 190.
