Regency Suspension Bridge

Regency Bridge is located in Mills county between Brownwood and San Saba in a small community known as Regency. Nice photos can be taken in this area of the water below. The bridge itself is more than 125 feet from the water during dry season so people afraid of heights should NOT look down.

The bridge is layed atop the Colorado River(which spans from Dawson County to Matagorda Bay by the way and is the 18th largest river in the US). Regency Bridge is a suspension bridge much like the Beverridge Bridge.

The bridge spans appoximately 340 feet from end to end. The multiple lined cables stretch another 100 feet beyond the ends of the bridge and anchor into the earth. A rock of distinct nature can be set upon at the north side of the bridge. Photo and text courtesy www.sansabaonline.com
