Sam Rayburn Library and Museum



Located in Bonham, Mr. Sam established the library and museum as a tribute to the people of his cherished Fannin County. Samuel Taliaferro Rayburn served as Speaker of the United States House of Representatives longer than any other person. His personal library houses his extensive book collection and the Speakers rostrum that stood on the dais of the House of Represntatives from 1857 until 1950 graces the entrance foyer. Hours: Monday thru Friday from 9 am to 4:30 pm, Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm.
