Lake Colorado City State Park

Activities include picnicking, camping , fishing, swimming (unsupervised), kayaking/canoeing, hiking, geocaching, nature photography, and birding. Featuring more than five miles of shoreline and 500 acres of parkland bordering the lake.
In addition to campsites with and without electricity, the park also has 11 limited cabins with air-conditioning, and group facilities .

Area Attractions
Lake Champion is a popular attraction nearby on State Highway 208. Other areas of interest include the Heart of West Texas Museum, Heritage House, Ruddick Park and numerous antique stores. Events of interest include the annual 4th of July Fly-In; annual Boer Goat Cook-Off; annual St. Ann's Fall Festival; Railhead Arts and Crafts Weekend, the third weekend each March, July and November; annual bass tournament; annual golf tournament; Hunters Appreciation Banquet, held the opening weekend of hunting season; annual Cowboy Breakfast and Old-Timers Reunion; High Plains Junior Rodeo, Parade and Queen's Contest; and the annual Courthouse Lighting and Parade, which includes the Little Mr. and Ms. Merry Christmas contest.
