Parks and marinas provide provide Campgrounds beaches picnic areas boat ramps and opportunities for shoreline fishing. Texas Parks and Wildlife Department operates Cedar Hill State Park on the east side of the lake. The City of Grand Prairie operates two large parks on the west side and a smaller facility on the Mountain Creek arm at the south end of the reservoir.
