Largemouth bass are popular in this reservoir. Spotted bass provide additional action but they are generally not as large. White bass and hybrid striped bass also provide excellent fisheries especially in the open water areas. Because hybrid stripers do not reproduce they are stocked annually by TPWD to maintain the fishery. Crappie fishing is generally good especially in the lakes abundant standing timber. Channel and flathead catfish are present but channel catfish dominate and provide excellent sport fishing.
