Heritage Park
Heritage Park was established in 1938. This park was the first park in Grapevines park system. Originally 2.80 acres were deeded to the city and school district in 1938 as back payment on taxes. In 1964 the school district deeded this acreage entirely to the city. The site was once a basket-making factory for the cantaloupe farming in the area. Heritage Park is a community park with two play structures located in the South end of the park tennis and basketball courts are located in the North end of the park and a large grass open area separates the two. Picnic tables and benches are located throughout the park.
