Quanah Parker Trail Arrows
As part of the Texas Plains Trail Quanah Parker Trail, Pampa has two trail arrow sites. These Quanah Parker Trail Arrows went into place on August 7, 2014 in McLean and in Pampa, the county seat of Gray County. The North Fork of the Red River, McClellan Creek and other streams across the area were traditional campsites for the nomadic Comanche. Pampa Trail Arrow locations are Southwest of Pampa on Highway 60 at the edge of town and in Santa Fe Park next to the Pioneer Cottage across the street from the White Deer Land Museum.
