Carls Corner
Carl's Corner is a small residential community at Farm Road 2959 and Interstate Highway 35E about seven miles northeast of Hillsboro in eastern Hill County. The development began as an interstate highway truck stop called Carl's Corner, which became well-known to travelers for its roadside curiositythe large figures of dancing frogs on top of a diesel sign. The community was incorporated in the mid-1980s and in 1990 had a population of ninety-four. In 2000 the population was 134. The town receives many of its services, postal delivery, and educational services through nearby Hillsboro.
