Goliad State Park

A nature trail heads from the mission buildings and picnic grounds and traverses typical south Texas brushland or chaparral. The brushland contrasts sharply with the luxuriant gallery woodlands of the San Antonio River floodplain. Birdlife along the trail is especially varied, due to proximity of diverse habitats and to the mild regional climate. There is a designated wildlife viewing area.
